The Minister of Trade Stresses the State’s interest in Exhibition Industry

The Minister of Trade Mr. Hatim El-sir has Stressed the State’s interest in Exhibition Industry stating that exhibitions have become a pivotal instrument to boost trade, economic and socio-cultural ties between the peoples.
The Minister has further praised the sponsorship of His Excellency the First Vice-President of the Republic Let. General Bakri Hassan Saleh, the National Prime Minister for his inauguration the 35th Edition of the fair.
The Minister stated that the country has taken courageous and bold steps to restore peace and stability.
He mentioned that national Dialogue has lasted for many months comprising a wide range spectrum of Political parties, opposition parties, The National Dialogue resulted in a formation of a national Conciliation government governing Sudan now. The national government has stopped the warfare and people are enjoying peace and stability after decades of war.
The Minister of Trade pointed out that the country is adopting openness policy that contributed positively in the developments of political and economic relations with neighboring countries and the rest of the world. The outcome of the wise leadership and keen diplomacy shifted the country from isolation to glasnost coupled with the lift of the economic sanctions manifested substantially in this session for the large number of participant companies at local and international levels.
The Minister of Trade further praised the participating countries hoping that their participation would realize their cherished goals and wishing them a pleasant and good stay in Sudan.
He further numerated the huge potentials and resources of Sudan such as the vast fertile agricultural land and diverse reserve of minerals .He invited the countries and companies to explore the investment opportunities in Sudan under the umbrella of the Federal Investment Encouragement Act that offers a package of huge incentives and facilities.
He further reiterated that the Ministry of Trade is responsible for executing the state’s grand strategy to produce more exports, diversify and promote Sudan’s export products for the world with a competitive edge.
The Trade Minister finally concluded that the Ministry is exerting its efforts to penetrate the world markets and open new emerging markets all over the world to increase returns on exports hence contributing to the national treasury with foreign currency.
The morning inauguration of fair this year came to enable the officials to inspect the pavilions of the participants and matched with the new era of the national conciliation government.
