Union of the Chambers of Commerce launches an Initiative to alleviate the burden of living within the International Fair of Khartoum

H.E Ahmed Saad Omar, Minister of the Council of Ministers, praised the participation of a number of countries for the first time, noting that it is a good gesture that contributes to the provision of Sudan’s rich projects to the world. In a speech at the Khartoum International fair yesterday evening , at the opening of the Sudanese Businessmen Center in exhibition; in its 3rd edition; the Union of Chambers of Commerce – announced the provision of all facilities and assistance in order to attract investors to Sudan and provide all the needs for citizens in form of goods, clothing and medicine.
The National Conciliation government will coordinate with the Ministry of Commerce and the Union of the Chambers of Commerce to alleviate the burdens of living and help the needy people.
H.E The Minister of Council of Ministers expressed hope that the Center will conclude more investment agreements with the participating countries to contribute to the investment in Sudan’s different states. Minister of Trade Hatem Al-Sir announced his support for the initiative launched by the Union of Chambers of Commerce to ease the burden of living in all states. The Minister said that this year’s exhibition edition is considered one of the most successful exhibitions, marking the participation of 33 countries, which reflects the level of developed relations between Sudan and a number of countries in the world due to the good governance.
The Trade Minister further reiterated his support to the Union of Chambers of Commerce Initiative to alleviate burden of living for the of the citizens and the whole country.
Mr. Yusuf Mohammed Karrar, Director General of the Sudanese Free Zones and Markets Co. SFZ , welcomed the idea of the center within the exhibition and expressed his support for the center to realize its initiative. He said that the International Fair of Khartoum is an economic event and a linking point for the Sudanese businessmen and their counterparts from participating countries for the mutual interests.
Mr. Yusuf Ahmed Yusuf, Chairman of Union of Chambers of Commerce, affirmed that the Union has been organizing this Center annually to strengthen the relationship between Sudanese businessmen and their counterparts from the participating countries in order to create many investment opportunities.
He announced that businessmen will waive profits in order to ease the burden of living for citizens, announcing the provision of all services in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce to alleviate the burden, calling on the State to exempt all fees in order to control prices. The opening of the center was attended by a number of ambassadors of participating countries and businessmen. The initiative agreement was announced between the Union of Chambers of Commerce and the Ministry of Commerce in order to open preferential price centers in all the states of the country and the sale shall be at cost which is very competitive with the markets.
